About Taylor Reed Hudson

Taylor Reed Hudson is a nerdy introvert who loves all things fantasy and stories with expansive worlds, large casts of eccentric characters, and intricate, wide scope plots.

He has enjoyed stories for as long as his memory goes back; whether it was through movies, TV shows, books, and video games, or creating them himself through drawing up his own characters and worlds. He first got the idea for Dimension Travelers in his middle school years during the spring of 2007. As an obsessive creative who often spent the lunch period drawing rather than eating, the idea for Dimension Travelers fell into his head when he randomly started drawing up plans of a mansion filled with doors that led to different worlds.

Since that moment, not a day of Taylor's life has gone by without thinking of Dimension Travelers in some way or another. Plots, characters, and worlds have been added, changed, reworked, and removed, but the core concept has always remained the same: a story revolving around characters and their ventures throughout the multiverse, fighting against a single corruptive evil.

Taylor came up with countless stories growing up, most lasting a few weeks to a month before he moved on to the next exciting idea. With the creation of Dimension Travelers, Taylor finally set on a single story; one he was deeply passionate about and has been working on ever since. Taylor would occasionally dabble in other story ideas, but always came back to Dimension Travelers (usually through the process of his new story idea ending up being incorporated into the Dimension Travelers multiverse).

During his early high school years, Taylor was inspired to become a screenwriter and began writing down stories that had previously only existed in his head or in his drawings. He wrote several screenplays throughout high school, and his first ever attempt to write Dimension Travelers was as a film screenplay he submitted for his senior project.

Taylor graduated high school in 2012, went to college for a year and a quarter, battled leukemia in 2015, and his passion and motivation for screenwriting faded over the years as screenwriting became a hobby rather than a plausible career path. But even through his writing slump, Dimension Travelers never left his head, and he casually continued to ponder new and old story possibilities on a daily basis, still convinced it was the story he was born to tell. The story simmered in Taylor's head for several years, slowly growing and improving.

In January 2017, Taylor discovered a hidden passion for reading, a love which the forced classics of high school had deceived him into thinking he hated, and the epiphany of writing Dimension Travelers as novels, rather than as a series of screenplay movies, reignited his motivation. Reinspired to once again take up his dream of getting Dimension Travelers out into the world, Taylor returned to seriously planning out the series as a ten book novel series.

Taylor lives alone, working on Dimension Travelers every day in pursuit of one day becoming traditionally published. He is always working on outlining the main series, while simultaneously writing Dimension Travelers side stories and novellas, snippets of which are available for anyone to read here.
